The Hollow Mack is a version of Bob Popovic's Hollow Fleye designed to imitate the Spanish Mackerel that Tarpon feed on in many scenarios but particularly on the beaches during the annual minnow and mullet runs in South Florida. The Hollow Mack is my go-to when natural bait are thick on the beaches and the Tarpon are ignoring my standard patterns. Tarpon often target the Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish and small Jacks that corral bait rather than the minnows or mullet themselves. Tied about 8″ long on a #4/0 hook.
