For years one of the hottest tarpon flies in the Keys was a pattern called the Tarpon Tapas. I never had much luck with it as a tarpon fly but a smaller version has become my favorite pattern for targeting snook on Gulf coast beaches. Tied on a #1/0 with mono eyes.
