The Floating Strong Arm Merkin is a modified version of Dave Skok's original pattern designed for scenarios where fish are feeding on swimming crabs in current. The combination of foam eyes and a foam-backed yarn body keep the fly riding high while the strong arm is positioned to keep the fly swimming and drifting straight. Tied in colors to match the most common swimming crabs I've encountered in the Keys.
