The Beach Pilchard is a hybrid hollow fleye designed to imitate the small whitebait (scaled sardines and threadfin herring) common along South Florida beaches during the late spring and summer in a durable, easy to cast package. Anytime I see schools of whitebait on the beach I reach for the Beach Pilchard first. Tied about 3″ long on a stout #1 hook.
