The Foxy Slider is my spin on a south Florida bonefish staple: the Bonefish Slider. Tim Borski’s original Bonefish Slider married a craft fur tail to natural collar and a sparse deer hair head. I kept the deer hair but simplified the body to give it more movement and traded the lead dumbell eyes for a smaller tungsten bead to allow it to land softer in shallow water. The bushy deer hair collar helps eliminate the need for a weedguard. Tied on a #4 or #2 hook with a tungsten bead keel.
