The Toad is a legendary Keys tarpon fly and my version combines the best attributes of the original Toad with the long, slender profile of a flatwing tail that is becoming increasingly popular throughout the Keys. The combination of the yarn head and the flat hackle tail make for a fly that rides high in the water column with a great silhouette from below. Tied about 5” long on a #1/0 hook.
