The Backcountry Muddler is an update on a classic Everglades pattern. My version of the muddler is designed to be cast close to the mangroves and sink very slowly while providing a lot of movement without the need for active stripping. This is one of my favorite winter snook flies. Tied about 2.5" long on a #1 hook with a single post weedguard.
