the Swamp Fox - In Stock

a few years ago I started tying prototype flies to target laid up tarpon in muddy water. I wanted a fly that was bulky but lightweight with plenty of movement and I ran across a Bob Lemay pattern called the Swamp Rabbit that seemed to check at least a few of those boxes. I tested different variations of the Swamp Rabbit last season and ultimately decided that the rabbit strip tail wasn’t what I needed but the final fly retained the Swamp Rabbit’s buggy profile so the name stuck as an homage. tied about 3.5” long on a #1/0 Gamakatsu SL12s Short.
