how long will it take to receive my order?

Tied to Order flies are tied, packed and shipped as quickly as possible in the order that I receive them; usually within 30 days. If shipping is delayed I will contact you as quickly as possible to let you know why and when I expect to ship you order.

Stock flies are pre-tied and ready to ship in three business days. If shipping is delayed I will contact you as quickly as possible to let you know why and when I expect to ship you order.

If you place an order with both Tied-to-Order and Stock flies you will be charged for two separate shipments. If you don’t mind waiting for your Stock flies to ship with the Tied-to-Order flies, send me an email and I will refund the second shipping charge (josh@twoaught.com).

All custom orders require a minumum eight weeks to fulfill unless otherwise noted during the ordering process. You will be provided with an estimated shipping timeframe when you place a custom order.

If you need an order produced and delivered by a specific date, contact me and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs (josh@twoaught.com).

can I order custom sizes, colors, patterns, etc?

I’m happy to tie a custom order to your exact specifications. Pricing for custom orders varies based on size, complexity, and material costs of your order.

Custom orders of novel patterns require a minimum of one dozen flies per size and/or color. Once you place a custom order I’ll tie a sample of any one-off patterns and send you a photograph before proceeding with the order.

why is the fly I received not identical to the photos on the site?

There are two reasons that the pattern you receive may differ slightly from the photos on the site. First, all of my flies are hand-tied and each of my patterns evolve with feedback I receive over time so there may be some small changes between the patterns as they are photographed on the site and the ones you receive in your order. Second, where possible I try to use natural materials with variable coloring that imitates the variegated coloring of most prey species in a way that solid color, dyed materials can’t replicate.

I’ll do my best to keep the photos on the site up-to-date but I promise that any changes made to the pattern will always be based on real feedback with the intention of improving the fishability of the pattern, not for cost-savings.

how will my order ship and what will it cost?

All retail fly orders ship via UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage for a flat $5 fee anywhere in the US.

You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email the day your order ships which will include tracking and an estimated delivery date.

can I order from outside of the US?

I do not sell or ship internationally.

can I cancel my order?

If your package has not shipped, email me at josh@twoaught.com to request a cancellation and full refund to your original payment method within three business days of placing your order.

After three business days you may request a cancellation but your refund will be issued as store credit towards your next order. If your order has already shipped please follow the Return instructions below after you receive the package.

Custom orders cannot be cancelled once paid.

can I return my order?

Returns for store credit are allowed for items in new condition within 7 days of delivery. Email me at josh@twoaught.com with questions or to request a return.

Absolutely no returns or refunds for custom orders.

I do not offer refunds to your original payment method for any reason due to the nature of the order-to-production-to delivery timeline and the cost imposed on my business by federal excise taxes on sporting goods manufactured in the US. If you have an issue with your order please contact me and I will do my best to make sure you’re satisfied with the outcome.

I think my package is lost; what should I do?

You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email the day your order ships which will include tracking and an estimated delivery date.

If the tracking seems to indicate that the package is lost (at least seven days after shipping), please contact me at josh@twoaught.com. I will request a package search from the carrier and keep you up to date on the status of the search. If the package is not delivered after the conclusion of the carrier’s search process I will offer to re-tie the order and ship via an express service or issue a refund to store credit for future use.

can I order flies to sell in my fly shop?

I offer a wholesale program for fly and tackle shops located in the US. To qualify for the wholesale program you must have an active 637 Registration and a Certificate of Resale if your shop is located in Florida.

do you provide any discounts for guides?

yes, I provide a 10% discount for full-time saltwater fly guides on orders with a 24 fly minimum. if you qualify and are interested in my guide program, shoot me an email at josh@twoaught.com.
